Make sure that other RV dealers and repair centers will honor the service plan you purchase, because it won't do you any good if your RV needs repair while you are traveling and nobody honors the plan.

For example if you buy an RV with the thought in mind that as soon as you make money, you will upgrade to a larger RV, then it is best you buy an used RV. RV's depreciate, they do not appreciate. So, if you buy a new RV and then sell it within the first couple of years, you are bound to lose a substantial amount of money. But in case of used RV, it has already suffered depreciation and you don't lose much if you get rid of it sooner. But this depends on how much you have paid for the used RV.

If you are opting for a used RV, then consider the finance terms and the interest rates involved in it. Since the RV is used, banks offer shorter finance terms and higher interest rates compared to new RVs.
